Your privacy is important to Open Campus, Inc. d/b/a GreekXperience. By using our Services, you agree that Open Campus can use such data in accordance with our Privacy Policy herein, which is also available at https://www.greekxperience.com/privacy-policy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Website, Open Campus, and Services, and provides information about the personal information that the Website, Open Campus, and Services collect, and the ways in which said personal information is used. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to GreekXperience or Open Campus include Open Campus, Inc., the Website and Services.

This Privacy Policy must be read in conjunction with the Open Campus, Inc. Terms of Service.

1. Types of Information We Collect

Use of the Services, interacting with other Users, and participation in the Services, including, without limitation, the Open Campus Rewards Program and Open Campus Payment Services, may require disclosure of personal information. The types of information you may provide to Open Campus include: (i) personally identifiable information and (ii) other non identifiable information and together with Customer Information. PII is information that could reasonably be used to identify you, including, without limitation, your name, address, e-mail address(es), telephone number(s), birth date, financial information (including credit and debit card information), household information, demographic information, and photograph. Non-PII is information that does not identify you and may include statistical information concerning your use of the Services or interactions with other Users, including your participation in a University or GLO. For example, Open Campus may collect and use the following kinds of personal information:

  • information about your use of Open Campus (including but not limited to profile information, survey data, event logs, chat, and commentary);
  • information that you provide for the purpose of registering or subscribing with Open Campus (including but not limited to name, email address, and student ID);
  • information about transactions carried out over the Website and Services (including but not limited to chat and messages, event feedback, and user commentary);
  • any other information that you send to or via Open Campus or its Services;
  • account data (i.e., your name, physical address, email address, phone number, username, and password);
  • demographic Information, which may include IP address(es), referring website information, Internet browser used, zip code and/or other data regarding search history, browsing history, registration and user history;
  • financial Data (i.e., credit card, payment, account numbers, financial institutions, and billing information);

2. Use of Information

Open Campus may use Customer Information, or any part thereof, to: (i) provide the Services; (ii) send communications to you regarding the Services; (iii) data share with our affiliates and business partners, including our third party Rewards Administrator and Payment Processor, to provide the Services; (iv) send e-mails and messages; (v) conduct research and analysis; (vi) administer the Rewards Program; (vii) create personalized content, offers, services, and advertising; (viii) prevent fraudulent transactions and theft; and (ix) comply with applicable law, governmental request, court order, or otherwise protect the rights, property, or safety of Open Campus and others. Open Campus may use Non-PII to analyze trends and track navigation within the Services and Rewards Program. Open Campus may also use your personal information to:

  • administer this Website;
  • personalize the Website for you;
  • enable your access to and use of the Services;
  • publish information about you on the Website;
  • send you products that you purchase;
  • supply you the Services that you purchase, directly and through third parties;
  • send you statements and invoices;
  • collect payments from you;
  • access information you authorize from third party websites (for example API connections to bank accounts);
  • send you marketing communications.

In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in our Terms of Service, Open Campus may disclose your personal information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, by University rules and regulations, in connection with any legal proceedings, or prospective legal proceedings, and in order to establish, exercise or defend its legal rights.

3. Cookies

We may use cookies (a small, unique identifier text file), web beacons (a small graphic), and other technologies to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the Website through your computer or your internet-enabled device. The purpose of this technology is to identify you when you visit the Website so that we can enhance and customize your online experience. You may set your browser so that it does not accept cookies. You may also manually delete cookies from your computer. For more information on how to disable cookies, you should consult with the provider of your browser services. If you disable cookies, however, portions of the Website may not function properly.

We may collect certain technical information from your computer or internet-enabled device when you visit the Websites or use the Services, including, without limitation, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your computer’s operating system, browser type, and any referring website address. We use this information to enhance your experience during your visit to our Websites and in using the Services and for system administration, security, and troubleshooting purposes.

We may use third-party software to provide advertisements on the Website or as a part of the Services, implement email marketing campaigns, and manage other interactive marketing initiatives.

4. Our Third Party Payment Processor and Rewards Administrator

You may chose to participate in the Rewards Program or use the Services to send and receive money. We engage a third party Payment Processor and Rewards Administrator to facilitate portions of these Services, and should you chose to use these portions of the Services, you are subject to their privacy policies.

5. Mobile Applications

Our mobile applications may collect certain information from you automatically, including, without limitation, the type of mobile device, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and the location of your mobile device (provided that you give permission for the application of location services). You can stop the collection of information via your mobile device by uninstalling the mobile applications (or, to discontinue the location information only, you can adjust your permission settings in your mobile device.

6. Privacy of Children

The Website and services are only for persons over the age of eighteen (18). In an effort to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, we ask that children under the age of thirteen (13) not provide any PII on the Website or Services. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of thirteen (13) and you believe that your child has provided PII to us, please contact us.

7. Links To Third Party Websites

The website may contain links to other websites that we do not control, including advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any linked website. Any Customer Information you provide when accessing a third-party website is subject to that third-party’s privacy policy. We do not control the use of Customer Information that you provide to third-parties, and we assume no responsibility for your sharing information with them.

8. Data Security

We maintain strict security protocols, including physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, to protect Customer Information. These protocols include compliance with federal law and regulations and the use of encryption to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure of your personal information. Although we strive to maintain data security, we do not guarantee or warrant its security.

9. Data Retention

We reserve the right to delete and destroy all of the information collected about you upon termination of your account unless you request otherwise.

Notwithstanding the above, you have the right to request the deletion of your data. Depending on the Services that we have provided to you, we may be required to hold certain data for five (5) years from the date of request of deletion of data, for legal purposes. We cannot continue to provide our Service to you if you request the deletion of your data.

10. Updates to Privacy Policy

From time to time, we may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect industry initiatives or changes in the law, technology, our privacy practices, or the features of the Website and Services. All modifications and updates shall be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Services after we post an updated Privacy Policy signifies your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy. You should review this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes.

11. Your Information May Be Stored And Transferred in Different Jurisdictions

Information that Open Campus collects may be stored, processed, and transferred between any of the countries and states in which Open Campus operates to enable the use of the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. In addition, personal information that you submit for publication on the website will be published on the internet and may be available around the world. By using the Services, you agree to such transfers of your personal information.
